Turkey only the Appetizer!

In the US today is celebrated as Thanksgiving but for many its only the antiquated event before the big one, which is tomorrow formally called Black Friday. The term black Friday was coined around the 1960's where on the day after thanksgiving store owners would give small discounts and  consumers would capitalize, for the most part their books moved out the red and into the black. Signifying they made a profit. Over the years the phenomenon has grown and now Black Friday is on the most sought after shopping days for the whole year.
This year you can find Black Friday deals from today through to Saturday online and many stores will open at Midnight tonight. However due to the massive crowds that tend to amass on Black Friday  many people may decide to do their shopping online while others will bear the lines in stores.

However be on the look out for ridiculously low prices on certain items, and if you don't really need an item don't buy just because its on sale.

Other shopping Holidays this year:
Cyber Monday- November 26, 2012
Boxing Day December 26, 2012
New Years January 1&2,2013 if your favorite stores are open

Economists encourage shopping but healthily, you don't want to do all the shopping now then not have money to cook your Christmas dinner, or pay your bills later.
