Studying in the Market

At most universities, finals are in full swing and students are busy beating the books. Staying up late and trying to ensure they get all they can before the finals. However I would like to talk about two things in this article, firstly the importance of healthy study habits and the niche markets that form during this period.

Students stress themselves out by staying up all night, unless you commit some sleep during the day it is ill-advised to study all night and dump caffeine into your system, you will eventually crash and most times the crash is unexpected. Whether in the exam, on the road or when you are studying for another important subject you will crash. Plan a study schedule and try to Gage yourself, the more rested and focused you are is the better you perform.

Next eat as balanced as possible, get in some fruit and vegetables, plus drink lots of water. Water is brain food, you should know this, but many people don't.

Finally prepare for all exams ahead of time, make sure you have your materials laid out, ID, pens, pens, calculators and rulers if they apply. As a boy scout our motto was be prepared and I stuck to it.

As an Economist I cannot begin to explain the boom that local college businesses receive at exam time. The local KFC on campus is packed almost every night, the campus Supermarket sells way more coffee than at any other time during the semester and smarter students like myself and master students capitalize by charging students to help them revise. In economics a market will form wherever there is demand and your local campus or community is no different.
