Government of Entreprenuers: Understanding the role of government

It's hard work, maintaining a social life, a school career, having a family and  at the same time running a business, not somebody else's  business but one of your very own. Many persons face the harsh reality of leaving college or let's face it high school and do not even have any close prospects for jobs. Frankly most jobs out there are designed for people who are already gainfully employed and want to transition to a better work environment or want more money. But since the market has only so many jobs many people are either forced to bear unemployment or create employment for themselves and others.

Almost every successful company started out as a failed idea, the important thing to learn about the path of the entrepreneur is that failure is inevitable. However entrepreneurs and the private sector hold the keys to development.

Contrary to what many people think or expect the role of government is not to be paternalistic but to be a guarantor,  staying at the sidelines and ensuring that everyone stays in check. It is not the role of government to provide people with jobs. Governments role is to facilitate an environment where persons feel comfortable enough to set up new businesses with the confidence that the correct safeguards are in place.

It is in our best interests to learn to become private sector led growth economies.
