Like the types of new gadgets change apparently so does the names of the operating systems that the Google affiliate software company Android create. If you have an Android smartphone more than likely the operating system on it has a quirky name.

These names include:

Android 1.5 Cupcake 

Android 1.6 Donut

Android 2.0 Eclair 

Android 2.2–2.2.3 Froyo 

Android 2.3–2.3.2 Gingerbread

Android 3.0 -3.2 Honeycomb 

Android 4.0–4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich 

Android 4.1-4.3 Jelly Bean

Android 4.4 Kit Kat 

But here is the verdict...Do you really care if your phone or tablet is a gingerbread, honeycomb, Ice Cream sandwich or Jelly Bean or do you care more about the specifications, the look and what  you can get out of it. Analytically the name of the OS isn't going to be attracting the users it only keeps their attention for a while. But on the part of Android nice marketing many tech companies just market the specs at least they"re trying to appeal to the customers stomachs
