Vagina-Economics
The definition of economics is rooted in the efficient allocation of scarce resources. But in this case we would assume that since each normal woman only has one vagina, therefore it is a single supplier goods model. Since we understand that the vagina is the good and not the service(prostitution) we then move on to pricing.
Pricing does not necessarily have to mean that a numerical value is placed on the good but the interested consumer must find some means or terms of satisfying the pre-existing conditions for the purchase of the commodity.
Lets take our analysis slightly deeper, considering that a market is formed where supply and demand meet, we must realize that in any case the market for sex is a supplier driven market, that is the woman is in control. We here at college economist will not promote nor tolerate illegal or informal market activities such as rape and sexual abuse as it contorts that individual's sex market for life allowing the supply to remain eternally low or even non-existent.
Now that we have derived the basis for model, let us think of a scenario.
Why would a woman resort to Vagina-Economics as a source of income, we have already established that this model is not about prostitution though it is a viable option. Women for many years have used their intuition about a mans desire for sex in their favor, otherwise known as the concept of tying a man. But it has proved to be effective as long as there is are no negative externalities to the process, by negative, in this sense, a woman engaging in vagina-economics does not have to intention to bear a child as child bearing is a deterrent to potential consumers. Women have harnessed male desire into controlling both the demand side and supply side of the equation thus deriving a higher producer surplus from the transaction as men have to do more in order to purchase the commodity. More of what you might ask, think about it for a moment, women are showered with gifts, affection and money just to keep the man satisfied.
An excellent strategy which has been working, but the rise of feminism and gender equality , actually poses negative implications for this market as morally equals will not or should exploit males for sex.
